I was a little surprised by the size of the head. I expected it to be the size of a wig styling head and it was quite a bit smaller (like a large doll's head). The hair was very synthetic but that didn't surprise me because after all that's what I paid for. I bought this for practicing updos and braids but don't think it'll be easy to work with due to it's slippery type hair. I will probably order the human hair version, although it cost quite a bit more. As long as you don't touch the hair its fine, but when you try to braid or style the hair it tangles really bad. She spent most of her time trying to brush out the knots. My scissors isn't cutting her hair properly. Not sure if it's my scissors or the synthetic hair. Maybe both. I bought her to practice braiding. But because it's synthetic hair, it gets tangled very easily. You have to be gentle with her as well. A lot of hair came out when I was combing her. All in all, I would recommend a human hair manikin instead. |
